Using the link icon in IGM/forums

I can use all the link options apart from link url or image when sending IGM's or using the forum. When i try to link a url or image it either just adds the text or says undefined, i would post a screen shot but i am having issues with that (see my other post). What am i doing wrong?

Use the directlink from the external hoster and copy/past it between
.img] (without the point).
