The game becomes really boring when it comes to waiting, so why don't you add a few related mini-games, so we can play them while waiting.
It could be an army tactic mini-game, or something like Risk, or at least chess, so we can play with others or with the computer. It won't change the gameplay in anyway, though you may add a leader board for some competition :).
also, you can get more money if you make some progressive mini-games in which someone may invest to be the best.

Very good idea. I suggest a 'Tavern' to the game, and they can win prizes with it, ec. resources, and crowns. Of course, a very little amount, it would be for fun.

The idea is more to waste time and not waste money/resources... I'm will not bet nothing so you should made it for the ones who want to invest and for the others that dont want...
Just saing that because i'm always in the lose side
