Header looks a bit empty for me, and thats why I would change placment a bit. I made one possibility in photoshop (fast one). Left side its still a bit empty, but it seems better to me.

I would agree with putting the logo in the middle however i don't like the message icons, as when you receive a message a text will pop up under the 'Welcome' icon.

This is only a beta forum so a lot of changes will be made :)

I agree as well, however keep in mind that smaller screens on laptops and tablets will have the TW2 shield overlap with the tabs "Home, Forum articles..." . The logo must be above the tabs unfortunately, but your layout looks great. I will see what we can do before the open beta. Thanks^^

I think it would be added anyways, it looks like it, or else they wouldn't put so much blank space bellow it

I like it how it is. I reckon they could put some phenomenal quote in the space that is left...that'd make it pretty cool

Checkered Jester you have also mobile layout you can activate and on my chromebook with tablet screen size it should work fine so it works also fine on a tablet.

I think they thought about that. If you look at the source code (F12) of this page, you can see that there is a div inside the div with id "header" that has the class "toolbar". As you may see, this div is positioned in the empty space.

About smaller devices, there is the possibility to make some items only appear different on bigger screens
