Spy return

I have researched the first spy and as a part of quests sent him to village. The spy did his work and I got a report.
Now the question is how to call the spy back? I do not see any option how to return the spy.

The spy returns like normal armies do. You can see when he'll be back in the tavern, unless he dies, then you have to replace him.

Thanks for answer, however all I see in tavern that spy is in village and there is no return time / button.

Then he's home and you should be able to use him again

At the moment the spy is reaching his destination and then not returning home so I guess this may have happened in this case. Currently I have a spy who is 1 hour past his arrival time and still no report so it is worse this evening as around the time the original poster mentioned it above I had a similar problem which last maybe 15 minutes.

I've just noticed that it is not possible to cancel spy attack. Or is it?
