How do you stop your wall being reduced?

I've been using the battle simulator to figure out how to stop the wall being reduced.

I had thought that trebuchets would do it (they are supposed to attack siege weapons), but no matter what I do I cannot get the wall to remain at level 20, unless I put in a stupid number of trebuchets.

So how do you neutralise the ram attack? What troops do you use?

To neutralize ram attack, you just need an overpowering number of defenders. If you attack with 20k provision offenses and I'm defending with 100k of defensive provisions, I guarantee that my wall will not drop .

trebs worked wonders for me but yeah insted of walls being reduced by 5 it gets reduced by 2 or 1
