Defense 'stack'

In another post, people were talking about 'stacks' as they pertained to defense. Is a 'stack' a battle mechanic that rewards the defender for having multiple times the count of the attacking units?

A stack is where you combine the forces of two or more villages by supporting a village with them.

So, do you get any extra bonus for that? In a different game I played, the combat strength of the attacker was partially determined by the number of defensive units. If there were 2x as many defenders as attackers, the attackers morale was lessened and their strength was less too. Conversely, if there were 2x as many attackers as defenders, the attackers got a boost. It made it very expensive to attack 'stacked' villages and it usually took the coordination of several players to win the battle.

By "definition" stack means that, for example, your tribe mates support your village with their troops so you can defeat opponent that is stronger than you with minimum damage for yours and your tribe mates troops (lets say that you split the damage).

In TW2 morale is based on points.

And for the attack boost you can use newly added unit Berserker which gives him 100% more attack power when fighting much greater force then your own.

@coolmite, The more you dominate your opponents the lesser your losses will be, stacking is the bread and butter of defensive tactics. Dement0r, your "definition" is actually just a particular type of stacking. Spreading out the losses over a lot of villages is good, but a stack of 100k defence troops from 10 villages is no less of a stack than 100k defence troops from 1000 villages, and you can stack without tribemates help, though again, if you can get yor tribemates help, that is even better.
